We are a start up farm, having initiated our first plantings the summer and fall of 2007.
Our goal is to be totally diversified and all grown per organic principles.
Specialty-gourmet vegetables: Brandywine heritage tomatoes, other early and mid season varieties. Also, Zapotec pleated tomatoes from Southern USA. Mache, Hungarian red lettuce, shallots, sugar peas, kohlrabi, brussell sprouts, pole and bush beans and various herbs. WE are hoping to offer a selection of edible flowers: nasturtium,calendula and borage as the season allows. Poppy seeds for baking will be an anticipated crop.
Our old apple trees are being rejuvenated and we anticipate offering Baldwins, Pippins, Mutzu, Honeycrisps. Italian plums are also in the works.
Additionally we will have Austin old fashioned roses, daylilies, dahlia tubers and misc. perennials. We will be offering lilac shrubs as they mature, currently having 22 varieties started in our fields. Cut flowers will be offered by stem and by the bunch: lilacs, roses, dahlias, many varieties of sunflowers, zinnias and cosmos, lilies of the valley, phlox, sweet peas, yarrow, hosta leaves, spiderwort, columbine and much more. We hope to offer our own hybridized daylily seeds as well. Other seeds will be offered as they develope.
