PT Farm is a family owned and operated full time beef and hog farm. We generally feed about 100 head of cattle and another 100 head of hogs in various stages of growing and finishing. We have our own USDA packing plant in St. Johnsbury, VT where we employ the six best meat men in the North Country. They ensure your order ends up in a vaccuum bag just the way you want it.
Unlike many local farmers selling meat, we offer our product fresh, not frozen, and we cut and grind meat every day of the week. We wholesale to restaurants and stores with specific delivery routes on certain days, and we have a small store located at the farm in North Haverhill for retail sales 5 days per week.
At PT Farm, livestock and meat are our livlihood, not just a hobby. Through our vertical integration of production and processing, we are able to maintain a constant supply of local beef, pork, and oftentimes lamb. Our beef is finished to a choice grade, and although we do not have a USDA grader to certify it, you can nearly always expect steaks with modest or better marbling each time you order.
If you want to order by IMPS number, we can do that. If you are unfamiliar with the IMPS or simply want something cut a special way, we can do that also. We send a small refrigerated truck out every Wednesday with specialty cut product destined for New York and Boston. We are big enough that we reap some efficiencies of scale, but we are still small enough that you can call us and discuss your order with someone who will be directly involved in cutting it.
If you are a consumer who just wants some good meat that wasn't implanted with hormones, give us a call. We intend to establish a meat CSA with a drop off in southern NH before the summer grilling season, or you are welcome to stop by our store.
