Who Are The Organizers?

The NH Farm to Restaurant Connection (NHFTRC) is the coordinator of the Virtual Farmers Marketplace. NHFTRC was formed to help link New Hampshire farms and food businesses with New Hampshire restaurants. Today’s consumers are more aware and concerned about the sources of their food supply making locally produced foods very significant. Restaurant promotion of local foods enhances both the restaurant business and the farm/food business, while helping to maintain New Hampshire’s economic and rural landscapes.

NHFTRC is a collaboration of organizations and individuals including the NH Dept. of Agriculture, Markets & Food, the NH Lodging & Restaurant Association, the NH Farmers Market Association, North Country Resource Conservation & Development Council, Atlantic Culinary Academy, Slow Food, UPS, farmers, chefs, nutritionists and distributors. NHFTRC recently became a standing committee of the NH Made organization, a membership group that promotes New Hampshire made products and services under the logo “New Hampshire’s Own, a product of Yankee Pride.”
